Ryuichi Sakamoto needs no introduction as one of the most brilliant composers of this generation Available for the first time in Hybrid SACD high-resolution Audio SACD format, Ryuichi Sakamoto - Music For Film is an extensive overview of his remarkable catalog of film scores, fully approved by the composer and performed by the masterful Brussels Philharmonic under the baton of Dirk Brossé. Sakamoto was already a celebrated pioneer in electronic music and a composer/pianist/singer in Japan when he was asked to write the score for Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence. In a 30-year-plus career since then, he has worked with Bernardo Bertolucci (The Last Emperor), Brian de Palma (Snake Eyes), and Pedro Almodovar (High Heels). This compilation is a fitting tribute to one of the greatest living musicians and film composers.
