a-ha - Original Album Series 5CD

In America, the success of a-ha looks like a blip: three hit singles and charting LPs between ’85 and ’88. But in Europe, their ever-evolving songs, style and sound led to a long career of album sales and sold-out shows. This set rounds up the Norgwegian group’s smash debut Hunting High and Low (’85) plus Scoundrel Days (’86), East of the Sun West of the Moon (’90), Minor Earth Major Sky (2000) and Lifelines (2002). Even as the songs move from pure-’80s synth-pop to more modern pop-rock, the soaring singing and sharp hooks remain; the smash Take on Me and hit The Sun Always Shines on TV join Train of Thought; Scoundrel Days; October; Cry Wolf; Slender Frame; Cold River; Little Black Heart; I Wish I Cared; Lifelines; Turn the Lights Down, and more!
