UMC / Virgin EMI releases 2LP Heavyweight Vinyl Klappcover editions of the groundbreaking Brian Eno albums "Discreet Music ", "Music For Films ", "Music For Airports " and "On Land ". The release is the second of its kind after last year's limited Half Speed Master editions of "Here Come The Warm Jets ", "Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) ", "Another Green World " and "Before and after Science ". Although these four innovative works do not appear directly one after the other, they mark important stages of the fascinating journey on which Brian Eno dealt with generative music, found sounds and "non-instruments ", studio experiments and "figurative music " and - above all - built on Erik Satie's "music as furniture " concept and thus ultimately coined the term "ambient ", which had become standard vocabulary
