Acoustic blues is where Eric Bibb lives - and the kitchen sink is where he hangs out when he's working from home. Just Like Love combines his guitar and vocals with a hand-picked bunch of musicians and recorded with just one or two microphones. Many of the songs showcased here are weeks, days or even just hours old "because", says Bibb, "of my fondness for the unique energy of newborn songs." Mixed in are renditions of some early favourites like Home In That Rock - but however old or young the song, the performance is nothing less than organic. "The intention was to give the listener the chance to recreate the feeling and atmosphere we felt at the moment of recording," says Bibb. So pull up a chair to the kitchen table and join Eric and friends as they cook up a storm.
