Two British rock icons have come together to create a collaborative album: former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher & former Stone Roses guitarist John Squire.
The songs on their forthcoming album, simply titled 'Liam Gallagher & John Squire', were written by John Squire, who subsequently prsented them to Liam. And the recording process for the vocals was pretty straightforward. Liam knew instinctively how to make the songs shine, being a die-hard Stone Roses fan himself.
On the album, Liam & John deliberately sought to move away from a "mechanical" and tight sound. At times, it can almost sound refreshingly sloppy. A colourful and psychedelic blues-inspired album as far from the finely polished embrace of AI control as you can get.
