Smashing Pumpkins - Adore (2LP)

Full Double Vinyl LP details

SMASHING PUMPKINS Adore (Remastered Edition 2026 UK/EU 16-track double album 2-LP pressed on 180 Gram Black Vinyl)

First released in 1998 Adore marked a significant departure for SmashingPumpkins, arriving in the wake of drummer Jimmy Chamberlin's departure and the band's shift away from the heavy guitar layers that defined Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. The album embraced electronic textures, drum machines, and a more introspective sonic palette, positioning Billy Corgan's songwriting within a framework that drew from gothic pop, synth-driven experimentation, and subdued melodic structures. Despite its polarising reception at the time, the album has since been reassessed as a bold creative pivot.

The record features collaborations with producer Flood and engineer Alan Moulder, both of whom helped shape the album's layered, atmospheric sound. The absence of live drums throughout much of the album gave it a stark, controlled quality that contrasted sharply with the band's earlier maximalism.

This edition reproduces the original cover artwork on the gatefold picture sleeve, with hype sticker & factory sealed. Recommended.
