“Blue Giant Momentum At Impulse! [SHM‑CD]” is a high-quality CD release of the powerful jazz soundtrack from the Blue Giant series, presented in SHM‑CD (Super High Material CD) format for enhanced audio clarity. This edition brings listeners closer to the raw energy and emotional depth of the music, offering a richer listening experience compared to standard CDs.

A collection of classic Impulse! Records tracks selected by the popular jazz manga BLUE GIANT MOMENTUM. Following the Japan arc BLUE GIANT, the Europe arc BLUE GIANT SUPREME, and the America arc BLUE GIANT EXPLORER, the latest chapter of the series, BLUE GIANT MOMENTUM, follows protagonist Miyamoto Dai as he performs in New York, the home of jazz. This release is the second compilation album tied to BLUE GIANT MOMENTUM and the seventh BLUE GIANT-related compilation overall. Focusing on the impulse! label, which Miyamoto Dai signs with in the story and which celebrates its 65th anniversary in 2026, this compilation gathers both classic and contemporary masterpieces that resonate with the world of BLUE GIANT. Under the slogan "The New Wave in Jazz," impulse! has continuously released groundbreaking works unconstrained by convention. This compilation can be enjoyed not only by jazz fans but also by BLUE GIANT fans and newcomers to jazz alike. It includes tracks by John Coltrane, one of impulse!'s signature artists whose 100th birth anniversary is celebrated in 2026, as well as Sonny Rollins, who passed away yesterday. In addition to a newly illustrated jacket by creator Ishizuka Shinichi, the booklet contains an original eight-page story newly created for this release.
